Was there an error message? Could be that there is a temporary glitch with the provider, a full mailbox etc.

Perhaps write to her publishers and explain that her usual email is bouncing and whether they have an alternate address for her?

Joy's 90th birthday was last week. She is physically frail, but very attentive and lucid. I found the correct email address and we "talked" 3 times in December.

I associate Joy Larkcom particularly with bringing Oriental vegetables into mainstream UK kitchens and gardens; even things like lollo rosso were obscure before! She was influential in organic gardening circles in the latter half of the 20th Century. I have one of her books - Grow your own vegetables, and even though I've done quite a bit of reading around the subject I still learnt some new things when I read it recently.
