Well I was about to cut these taro up in chunks to propagate them, then I noticed under the plant there were about 20 new nodes from the big tuber that I could propagate, I spread these out thru my aquaponic beds. These tubers I harvested and they filled 1/2 of my instant pot, so about 3 hearty meals, so a day of food from these tubers. 364 days more to grow ;-)

What are the temperature requirements for the  taro?

Taro is in HI, and adores water lots of water.    I am in zone 9a.

That was my understanding.  If someone has an aquaponic system that is warm enough  under protection water adapted roots that reproduce from corms and produce the bulk of the storage root above the growing medium  would be very advantages.  Is it known to be day length sensitive?  I could easily maintain 9a conditions in a greenhouse but summer days are very long and winter very short.

Not sure as I grow it year round here...     loves wicking bed and aquaponics,   tops die off with frost but comes back.

I think our high humidity is also a factor for growth
