I usually keep a few chickens.  Because Mrs. Fox had a baby to feed, I have been chicken-less for a few months.  I plan to get more in the spring.  I live in Western NC, but have done well with chicks from Ideal in S. Texas.  With the avian flu peaking medical interests, I am wondering if I should look for a closer hatchery.  Any suggestions?

Local sources have always been good for me.

Check with your local feed store or Tractor Supply.
