I just thought I'd provide a few links for those who enjoy foraging/wild harvesting.  Ya'll probably have these already but, in case you don't...

Find A Spring:  A growing database of cold and hot springs.  It requires registering for a free account but it's a user database of where you can find natural spring water and hot springs.  I don't ascribe to the new age philosophies of the owners of the site, but I sure do like knowing where to find fresh, natural spring water.  https://findaspring.org/

Falling Fruit:  "Falling Fruit is a massive, collaborative map of the urban harvest. By uniting the efforts of foragers, freegans, and foresters everywhere, the map already points to over a half million food sources around the world (from plants and fungi to water wells and dumpsters). Our rapidly growing user community is actively exploring, editing, and adding to the map."  https://fallingfruit.org/

Get Raw Milk:  A worldwide database of where you can find sources for buying raw milk (cow, goat, donkey, sheep, camel, buffalo, etc.,)  https://getrawmilk.com/

Real Milk:  Another raw milk resource finder.  https://www.realmilk.com/

U-Pick Farm Locator:   Find "You pick" farm locations near you.  https://upickfarmlocator.com/

I have more links if folks are interested, but I reckon this forum is more the DIY type, so I'll digress unless asked.  I just think it's nice to have the resources available for when you can't provide your own but still want high quality foods.

My MIL just told us about one of the raw milk ones.  Good links.

The first time I ever had raw milk was when I lived in Africa.  I couldn't get enough!  And that's what they used to make tea instead of water.  I'm determined to find a nearby source for raw milk again.

Thanks, Carla.  I gave the first two links in a resources post a couple days ago, but I didn't know about the Raw Milk Institute, so... score!  Where I'm at now, I can't get any so I have to wait until I get moved.  After that, I'm hooking up an IV directly to the first dairy cow I see!

I understand the raw milk desert, issue, all too well. I've also hooked up with folks who provide me with it via local Amish &/or Mennonite communities, and places where small- farm families hang out, like feed stores. Believe it or not, my current favorite supplier (who has jersey cows - what we had, when I was a kid) is a lovely woman I met through our shared interest in fiber arts, though our local fiber arts guild.

A tiny monkey bit me and I got tiny ads:
