Right now is the a good time for pruning fruit trees in the Pacific Northwest and northern California. (And probably a lot of other places as well.) Select a dry day without rain. Sharpen your pruners and get some alcohol to sterilize the pruners between cuts between trees. I also spray OMRI- approved copper on peaches this time of year.

Although I am definitely in the "pruning the least is the best pruning" camp, here is a handy guide from Oregon State University about pruning your fruit and nut trees:

Interesting! You must have such a different climate compared to mine. Here in Tennessee in March it is NOT a good time to do that, since our Spring has already begun.
