The Hobbit is best viewed as a Fan Edit, for all of the reasons in those hilarious videos, and more.

We watched a 2.5 hour fan edit and I would say it was a tiny bit too short. Probably 3 - 3.5 is the sweet spot. This one looks like it might be a good version: https://m4-studios.github.io/hobbitbookedit/#m4hobbit
