Had a day.

So, I thought some fan lord of the rings music might cheer me up.  It's usually good for a laugh.

Didn't expect to find something so beautiful

What music cheers you up?

The album I usually listen to on those sorts of days and am alone and can sing along as loud as I want, is the Singalong at Sanders Theatre live album by Pete Seeger--I've been thinking a lot about it recently though haven't listened to it in its entirety much recently. I have been scattering songs from that album all over permies in recent days so will refrain from linking to it here again.

I also tend to go to Caitlin Canty's album Motel Bouquet especially, that is in the opposite sort of situation energetically to Pete Seeger's. Some of my favorite songs:

River Alone

Motel

I perform Breaking of the Fellowship often, a crowd favourite.  But I do it in D as per the original.  Thanks for sharing that video with us.

If you're looking for laughs, look up the older Arrogant Worms music. Ones like "Carrot Juice is Murder", "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate" and "Canada's Really Big".

Yes, my friend says I should have outgrown it years ago, but it does lift my spirits.

I have taken a liking to a genre of music called "Pagan Folk".
This is a German Band named Faun

There's also a whole album in celebration of chickens, specifically the Rhode Island Red breed. I stumbled upon it last night and listened to it--full of old traditional fiddle tunes that each have something to do with chickens.
