how do folks?
so we are working on a small building as a sort of trial-by-fire learn-as-you-go sort of thing

I've never worked with these material systems before but their advantages are becoming very obvious to me
we have a floating foundation of rammed earth tires on a 32" deep bed of gravel supporting a round timber frame that will be encased (on 3 sides) with straw bales with the last (south) wall being almost exclusively windows (for passive solar) heated with a thermal mass rocket stove bench
we'll be going on 2 years of working on this thing in December but would really really REALLY love to have it at least sealed up before then
if there is anyone in the NE Ohio NW PA area that is interested in coming out to help, just let me know
we sure could use a hand, or 4.

for stories about this and all the other stuff we are working on, check out trilliumcenter.org
we also offer herbalism classes

Hi, I live in the area and am helping these great people I know do the same type project! You should meet! The project is outside of Conneat oh, and we are also in need of help. The guy that I am working with is a bit of a lunatic but has a huge heart and knows a lot about chickens! If this sounds like it would be a good fit please contact me! Peace..... Sustainable Systems Now. Joshua
