Hi there ☺️ I’m 27, live in EST, and though I’m currently doing my best in a second-story apartment, I’ve long felt called toward a more grounded way of living. Literally and figuratively lol

I fell in love with permaculture as a teen working on private farms, and that love has only deepened. I sew out of necessity, research meat rabbits for fun, and want to collect more "heritage" skills. I want to grow and raise my own food, like most of us here - also want to make my own clothes, live in the woods, you get the idea.

I’m a non-denominational Christian, and my faith shapes how I see the world and what kind of life I want to build. Ideally, I’d love to find someone who shares that foundation, someone who wants to slow down and build something real. 🙏

A bit about me:
– When I click with someone, I'm fun, creative, and tend to mirror the energy around me.
– I craft, write, sew, cook, and do a bit of drawing and upcycling.
– I have a dog and a cat, and I’ve always dreamed of living in the woods.
– I’m open to local or long-distance (I know good things take effort).
– I don’t have kids but hope to one day, if it’s in God’s plan.
– Dealbreakers: I don’t want to be a stepmom, and I do want a partner who shares my faith.

I’m drawn to someone steady but fun, emotionally regulated, good with kids (future ones!), and who can joke about the apocalypse while quietly prepping for it. 😅 Someone who makes people feel safe and who sees leadership as a kind of service.

I don’t believe in forcing anything, but the dating apps aren't for me - so here I am. If this resonates with you, say hello, I don't bite 😋

Hi Bec!
It's a shame that it's been a month and you haven't gotten any replies! I'm kind of introverted, but if you're interested I'd love to talk more!
34, christian, never married, no kids. I don't have any land right now; I'm more attracted to a nomadic lifestyle at the moment, but my end goal is to get any from store-bought, factory made (by who? with what motives) and get back to home made and home grown food.

Hey, im M/24 from nordic country. Im strong in my faith and working towards self-sufficient off-grid life. I own small construction bisness and im good from my hands what comes to building. I wanna build safe space somewhere in beautiful nature where would be mountains and lakes. I dream of owning animals and making my own food and having healthy, happy and God fearing family😊

Hi Bec Grace:), you seem to be charming. I believe we can chat to a good point. I do have the same opinion about things, so we can meet up there. I do exercises, take care of an orchard and grow the things, if possible. I would like to chat a little first, do you have an email?:)  Greets, Josef from Czech

Good Morning from the Woods of Tennessee Bec Grace,
Thank you for sharing you post with the group. This lifestyle can make it very difficult to meet other people, but I have met some really great people here, even if they werent the person God intended for me. I hope you find the right one. It is nice to see other people that give up control to Gods plan. He got me here through grace, and even I still struggle to give up control sometimes. Also, its good to find other people that low-key plan for the apocalypse, its not about if, but when... but in all serious the world is a lot more fragile then most people realize.
Anywho, if you feel called I would love to get to know you better.
Andrew

I love everything about this thread... God-centered, farm/land based, and even a bit of prepping spice tossed in! I'm single and open to dating, but not dating (because trauma and terrified), but I'm praying right now that all of you find a perfect match with God's grace. 🙏🏻

Hang in there. You'll find someone. I'm twice your age. You'll find some of your ideas are kinda whimsical, some very practical, and some could go either way. That's what I ve found.
Don't compromise on your faith. I've just now found a  church congregation I think I'm really in agreement with on I almost every subject.
