On a whim I ordered two serviceberry trees and have a nice space for them but have no idea what plants to add for a guild.  Permies: please advise. I'm in southern Illinois zone 7. Thanks

Will be great to hear what people have found to work well with serviceberry as I just planted 9 of them.  Too soon for me to have any good answers, but I did plant ramps to start out around mine.  I'm wondering if they will sucker enough that they will just fill in the space themselves and become a path's edge hedge for me.

In my ecosystem, common guild plants for serviceberry include maple, sagebrush, smooth brome, annual grasses, violets, lilies, burdock, chokecherry, balsamroots, spring beauties, antelope bitterbrush, opuntia, boxelder, and lomatium.
