I want an axe rack. Something like a guitar rack, but for axes, not guitars.

People have made different axe racks, like the one in this instructable. But most of those stand vertical, and do not make the axe blades safe. I would like something that can stand on rough ground.

So I have come up with my own design. It is built onto a sawbuck. There is a trough down low that holds the axeheads. The handles lean back against the top of the sawbuck. It holds the axes a bit off of the ground to keep them dry. There are gaps in the bottom of the trough for drainage. And there are spacers to help hold the axes in place and to cover their blades. I don't plan to store the axes in this rack, I plan to bring it to my chopping block or work site so it can hold my tools within easy reach. What do you all think?

I am calling this design the "Lack'o'Camas Axe Rack" after Lacamas Creek. And the fact that I still haven't got any camas established here.

How many axes does it take to cut down a tree?

Okay, that is a nice rack.

And those are nice axes.

Tonight I am peeling some junk poles so that I can build the sawbuck portion of this project.

I would have a 3 legged stand, so its always stable
Heads down with the blade facing a guard
handles sitting in notches so they stay in place
