I have an ongoing wishilist on amazon.ca and about 10 or so years ago, people seemed to be able to buy me stuff for Christmas and birthdays.

These last couple of years, I'm told there's something blocking them from buying stuff to send to me.  Is it no longer a thing?  Or is it country restricted now (like they have to be in Canada to use it)?

They still can. But, you'll need to go in and create a public wish list to share with them.

Hmmm, I haven't changed the settings since amazon made a canadian store.  Maybe something updated and change settings.

I'll send the link privately.

I feel the Wishlist is private so I ask Mr Google because he knows everything:

No, an Amazon Wishlist isn't public by default. It's initially set to "Private", meaning only you can see it. However, you can change the privacy setting to "Public" or "Shareable" to allow others to view it

That's the one I was thinking of - the "Sharable" one, so that you can choose only the people you want to see it, rather than truly public.

I can see it when I look incognito.

I've heard others can see it.  They just can't buy from it and have it sent to me.

When I share the link, I choose the see but cannot edit choice.  I don't really want people to edit the list.  I hope this isn't the problem.
