Nettle is such a wonderful herb! I will have to do something like your bucket system.
I wonder, why do you pull the larger ones rather than cut them back and let them resprout as perennials? I would think that they would regrow after being cut, but maybe not in the indoor environment?

I have started just cutting them back to regrow
