We are looking to rehome two wonderful male livestock guardian dogs (about 18 months old, both neutered) to a family with land who needs reliable protection for their animals but also wants loving companions to interact with. Both have lived around livestock and kids, and both bring unique strengths to the right kind of family.

🦴 The Dogs:
• Male Pyrenees/Boz Shepherd Mix – ~18 months old, neutered. A classic strong, dominant guardian. He takes his job seriously and is a natural protector against coyotes and other predators. Needs to be fed separately, but once you understand his routine he’s steady, confident, and reliable. Great with kids.
• Male Pyrenees/Lab Mix – ~18 months old, neutered. More sensitive and skittish at first, but once he warms up, he bonds very deeply with his people. Sweet-natured, gentle, and especially loving with kids once he feels safe.

🐑 Their Experience:
• Proven guardians for chickens and sheep
• Excellent perimeter protection
• Great alertness against predators (especially coyotes)
• Balanced personalities – protective outdoors, but affectionate and calm with their people once trust is established

🚧 Fencing Needs:
They will need secure fencing to keep them safe and in place, especially during the transition period. We have 5-foot iron fencing and have had no issues with containment.

🏡 The Ideal Home:
• A farm, ranch, or homestead in San Diego County or nearby
• Someone who understands livestock guardian breeds and will respect their routines
• A family who values them not only as protectors, but also as loyal companions

These two are not just working dogs – they’re also sweet family members once you get to know them.

📍 Located in San Diego area.
📩 Please reach out if you’d like to meet them or learn more.

I'd take them in a heart beat but  I'm a little far.

Is there something the Permies Community can do to help get them transported?

Lets hope someone closer will take them.

That's my roommate. He's kinda weird, but he always pays his half of the rent. And he gave me this tiny ad:
