I'm having a hard time locating a dc voltage air pump to connect directly to a solar panel for my pond. Any suggestions appreciated. Curt

How big of a pump? How many amps are you willing to throw at it? Are we talking a 5 ft. koi pond or a 5 acre reservoir?

Here is the first one I found. air pump

Beyond that check bait well pumps for boats and battery backup for aquariums first. Also it used to be some of the air pumps used for fish tanks were DC and had a separate transformer block so maybe you can look at those too.(don't know if this is still true or not)

That baitbucket pump is probably the best I have seen, too. At least without spending 10x more money or going to 30 watts or so.

Maybe that is why a lot of aquaponics and aquarium people use inverters on AC pumps.
