My town.  There really isn't a good place already set up for folks to talk about missoula eco stuff.  So I am thoroughly abusing my power here and creating such a place.  One could argue that it might be less than appropriate, but the cool thing about paying all the bills is that I get to do whatever I like!  (to anybody that thinks thinks this is less than appropriate, I have three words:  neener, neener, neener)

I'm actually really excited about this new forum.  I have a lot of history with missoula - especially with on-line stuff.  So I'm jazzed to see this take off!

I am a little worried that newbies to the forum will stumble a bit when getting started.  I would like to ask a favor of those of you that are now familiar with this forum:  can you help me get this forum started?  Maybe ask a question or two about missoula?  Maybe start a few new threads?  Just to help me get the ball rolling?

I would like to know more.

What zone are you in so I can get a comparison between Missoula and Missouri.

How about a photo or two?  Maybe one of town and one of your place?  What kind of festival does the place throw every year?

What are you doing at your place?  I have been wanting to know these things but did not know where to ask.

I mean like, What is happening at your place??

I am in temporary digs while I look for land

Missoula is USDA frost zone 4b.

As for a festival:  during the warmer months, I doubt that anybody in the US has a farmers market nearly as good as the one in missoula.  During the summer, every wednesday is "out to lunch":  music and food vendors with a massive turnout from the community.

And the carousel:  every horse is hand carved by the missoula community.

I think MD is a good place to ask about my ag situation.  In fact, that would be good to start something there, because I get asked that several times a week.

I thought you just got land...not unusual for me to get confused...what is MD?  The carousel looks way cool, I see a clydesdale off to the side...nice

I also will envy you your farmers market.
