Wendell Berry and Wes Jackson are together again in a discussion in NYC at the Great Hall at Cooper Union on April 4 (free, but FCFS). The discussion is moderated by the New York Times and is titled "Nature as Measure." I've heard both these men speak and they are worth catching. Many of the permies here I'm sure have read Berry's
books. I'm currently in the middle of
The Art of the Commonplace: The Agrarian Essays of Wendell Berry after reading the groundbreaking book
The Unsettling of America: Culture and Agriculture. Anyway, just thought some our northeast friends might like to try to catch this dicussion. I also just finished Jackson's
Consulting the Genius of the Place, which was amazing, too.
