We will be offering a 10 day EcoVillage Design course at Sahale Learning Center this May 14-23, 2010. This will be a great opportunity to about the "Invisible" permaculture systems such as community dynamics, consensus building skills while learning how these relate to site planning for liveable human scale environments. Kees Koff from the Port Townsend EcoVillage will guide us through the myriad of legal structures that they have researched for their community. I will be discussing various EcoVillage and Community Master Planning projects here in the NW and in Italy and offering insights into the fundamental patterns which have proven useful if not essential to successful communities around the world. Learn more about the lineup for this course at www.panearthdesigns.net and www.sahalepermaculture.com You can also follow my blog (http://panearthdesigns.net/blog/) as I develop master plans for an EcoVillage in Thurston County and engage an emerging EcoVillage "Il Monte" in the mountains above Florence in Tuscany.
Is there any further information about this? Is it definitely happening?
The website [url=http://www.sahalepermaculture.com]www.sahalepermaculture.com appears to be offline or at least has lost its landing page. I can still get to the page advertising the course by going directly to http://www.sahalepermaculture.com/upcoming.htm but that's about it.
News, anyone?
Courtesy and compassion are the cornerstones of civilization; without them, we are not truly human.
The class was cancelled, and there was a huge lack of communication about that fact by all parties. I eventually did get my fees, room and board refunded, however.
