Where can I buy an Austrian Scythe in Spain?

I have a brilliant Austrian scythe that I bought in the UK before we moved to Spain. It has proved invaluable in keeping down the grass on our 7 acre olive and fig grove but it really is hard work for me as my husband does not have a scythe and I end up doing it all by myself (and I aint as young as I used to be!). Obviously we need to buy another one. But... I am having difficulty getting hold of the chap who sold me the original one in the UK and I can't seem to find another supplier in Europe... obviously I am looking in the wrong place or in the wrong language... it is after all an Austrian Scythe so one assumes that it would be for sale on a German or Austrian site - alas I have not been able to find it. Would anyone be able to recommend a european website? Thank you ... in hope.

I live in France and had one shipped out by Simon Fairlie from England no bother two weeks ago . However I know he has had computer problems and he lost my details at one point .
I know he sends scythes to Spain as well.

Hi David, thanks for your reply, alas I have tried unsuccessfully to get a scythe from Simon, including having my daughter in law try to order it from the UK to be delivered to a UK address. First it was hard to get him on the phone or to reply to emails then he was unable to quote a postage for Spain and then he mentioned only being paid by cheque because bank transfer didn't seem to work for him... he never returned any calls (even to a UK landline) and it all became very tiresome and difficult. Nothing against the man, I met him in the UK and bought my original scythe from him but I really need a more trouble free and reliable option. I have emailed the factory in Austria today in the hope that they can give me a list of European suppliers... fingers crossed.

Ask Bernhard Lehnert.

Mail: lehnert@sensenwerkstatt.de
He is shipping world wide and has the broadest sortiment of scythes I know of. (Not only the ones shown on his website.)

Hello Jane
A shot in the dark but I wanted some info about buying a scythe here in France and I came across your post. I looked at the German site and it appears quite complicated to work out what a beginner scyther might need. Does he speak English do you know? If so I could email him my situation/measurements etc and it would be easier! Thanks

That German site above is fantastic.
The website can be translated easily to English and since most germans speak English I am sure you will have no problems.
