"Cherry Valley" - EkoFarm - 1 hectare Food Forest

Read a lot, saw a lot, and thought a lot. I figured: why wait?
I moved permanently from the city to the countryside and start my first big project.
One hectare, one man - could there be a better way to learn?

Nursery reactivation!

All shrubs and helping plants will grow from seeds. Can`t find the seeds of Comfrey, but I`m still looking.

















I like to take pictures of progress in work, so expect more of this

Lee, I'm not smart or experienced enough to tell you for sure, but it looks an awful lot like the comfrey I've got growing on my place. Maybe put a shovel through it and move half to another spot if the original regenerates and the transplant does well… if it's not comfrey maybe it's something equally magical?

To me, that looks a bit too narrow-leaved to be comfrey. I'd guess some kind of dock - maybe yellow/curly? Get some pictures of the flowers when they bloom, that's the best way to ID a plant.

Hi Lee, what a great project! Something I'd suggest, assuming the top of your map is North...
In my climate, it's nearly always best to run plantings North-South rather than East-West for even sun-distribution.

While the leaves are narrower than I'm used to, it has the vein structure and hairyness of comfrey.
It looks like it's a perennial cultivar that's just emerged in the spring?
People may be able to give you more specific ideas if you're keen to put up more information about your location/climate
