How can i protect trees from too much sun?

Hello,

i just planted a food forest and i have been thinking on how to protect the trees and bushes from the intensive summer sun? something that can give some shade to the tree trunks and tree soil.

I saw a kind of net used as a kind of porch, i am thinking of using something like that around trees, what are your insights on tree sun protection?

How big are the trees? How many? How are they planted.

There are any number of ways to use some type of shade cloth, but it gets expensive very quickly if you want to cover a large area.

Hi Scott, I've planted around 60 trees and bushes, all young trees with at the most 1m70. Is it doable to use an individual shade cloth? one per each tree?
