There is a big bunch of crazy stuff rolling around in my head and I've already spent too much time bitching about it. Mostly I need to respect the people that supported my kickstarter. Next, I wish to give candy to the people that are signed up to my daily-ish email. And, most of all, I like the idea of giving candy to the people with lots of apples. Combine that with people running PDCs and asking to give decks of cards to the students of an upcoming PDC. Or people asking for a bulk price for some fundraiser. I think "yeah! I like that!" - and at the same time, I like the idea that PDC instructors are regulars here at permies and help people regularly. And the same goes for fundraiser folk. I know of some PDCs where I sent big care packages in the past, but the instructors and others never found their way here. Bummer.
This seems like an excellent solution. I think that people with a dozen apples would be aware of all of all of my concerns
AND be respectful of all of my concerns. Plus, people who are proven to help others here on permies get candy!
Yes, it is true that there are awesome people out there doing awesome things and it would be really great to give them candy too. And that's what I did - and a few of them are not being respectful to what was asked. Some were super shitty to alexander.
So now I turn the table on this point: if they are awesome and doing awesome things, how come they don't already have a dozen apples?
By posting this I wish to express my gratitude to those that have earned a dozen or more apples. And maybe a few folks will find value in earning a few more apples. I really hope that I don't get a bunch of emails insisting that the phrase "
aw c'mon" will be a substitute for apples.
