How to make real NC Barbecue without a pit, part 1

I am out of town today and I wanted to make some real NC Barbecue. I start by explaining what real NC Barbecue is and what it isn't (hint, 99% of barbecue you buy is not real NC barbecue and what they say it is on the Food Network certainly isn't). My family has been cooking barbecue in NC since at least 1700. I show you how to do it without a pit, simply and inexpensively using some "hillbilly engineering."

How to make real NC Barbecue without a pit, part 3

The pork shoulder is cooked and rested. I chop up a little with an Old Hickory cleaver and taste some of the best meat I have ever encountered.  Guy Fieri can't touch this! This is pure NC REAL BARBECUE... 400 years of tradition in one bite!
