I built this bed for my mother.
The soil is at 3 feet off the ground and about 10" deep.
I filled the bottom with a double layer of sweet gum balls, for aeration and weight reduction.

The bed  is built of cedar fence pickets.
The hoops are bicycle rims, supported by bits of old wooden crutches.
I'm want to enclose the sides and ends, with netting and/or plastic, but I'm still working through how I want to do that.

Here's the second flush of turnip greens from this bed.
The were transplants from another bed, that had been doing poorly.
They have been growing like crazy in the new bed.

Oooops. I meant to say I have given all the thumbs, etc.  I have a rule of no posting before 9am or meds be taken.  I need to stick with my rule.  Sorry guys.  And it's a little sad to tell you, I used the preview thingy!!!

Peace
