Post missing?

Hi, I made a post earlier in IC but it's no longer showing up.
Can someone explain why?

Looks like your post got stuck in the spam filter.

I'll see if I can wiggle it loose.  It's pretty stuck, so it might take a while if I need to ask for help as it's the holidays.

In the mean time, if you wanted to share some projects or other forum participation that isn't self promotion, that would make getting it unstuck easier.  To put it simply, on any forum, it helps to spend time participating in the community before self promotion posts, otherwise, it's easy to trigger automatic spam filters.

awesome ... but really, thank you for explaining. I'm new here -- and wasn't sure what to do.
I have some cool ideas I think I can share that could benefit others.

Same here.  I can't edit my post from 4 months ago so I created a new one but it's not showing up.  It's a homestead that my dad is selling. Any help would be appreciated.  I bought a piece of pie but I accidently put that pie on my old post which has the old price.

The edit button disappears after a time because too many people were abusing it.

Looking at your post history, it appears to be only self promotion.

Editing isn't to your advantage.   It doesn't do anything to improve your visibility.

Bumping the thread with updates or buying thread boost are much better options.

Another good way to promote your stuff is to put a link to your promotional thread in your signature and earn community good will by participating in the community.  This is also a good way to improve google seo for the thread.
