Anybody in Canada, specifically in BC would be even better, that could point me in the right direction to finding fruit tree cuttings?! I FINALLY found someone selling jujube trees and I only have space/money for one so I was hoping to graft another variety onto it for better fruit production.

Any suggestions are grately helpful, thank you!

Hi Suki-lu, welcome to permies!

I don't know a supplier in BC but Silvercreek nursery in Ontario sells scions in the spring. I haven't seen jujube from them however. It's a hard on to find even as tree.

You might have some luck trying a jujube tree growers group on Facebook. I'm in one for pawpaws and people will sell and trade scions through it.

Jujube is on my want list so if the one you bought from ships, I'd love to get a link. Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check out Silvercreek for scions in spring! I didnt know there were such groups on Facebook so I will have to try that out too, that would be awesome.

I actually found someone through Facebook Marketplace for both my jujube and persimmon. I will contact him tomorrow to see if he ships... i dont see why not since it means more business! I'll keep you updated through a personal message or errm i mean 'purple mooseage' hahaha 😆

I appreciate the multiple sites! I'll see if the 'tropicsofcanada' will be open to sending cuttings. Seems like floraexotica only has indian jujube but i am looking for chinese varieties specifically. Thanks!

Upon looking at the link sent to me from M. Phelps, ( https://tropicofcanada.ca/plant-varieties/jujube/ ) i found out that they are partnered to a nursery local to me that ships a wide varieties of jujubes instead of just the standard 'Li' or 'Lang'
https://www.phoenixperennials.com/?s=Jujube&numberposts=5&post_type=product&results_hide_fields=meta

The prices are cheaper than who i am buying my jujube from. Shipping will obviously be pricey across country but if you are like me, I think that sort of thing is worth it sometimes to receive the exact variety you are looking for.

Thanks for the links and info. Phoenix looks great. I have a friend who is also looking for them and I'll try to get our orders organized so we can do it in one shipment. ( and then we can trade scions with each other so we'll make sure we're getting different stuff)
This should be my last non-clearance tree buys! (I'm sure I will find something else to hunt down, but these were the biggest wants remaining:)

Awesome! Glad i could help, looks like they got a great selection. Smart to ship altogether, save on costs a bit! I look forward to sharing scions

I hear ya about last non-clearance tree buys. Atleast that's what i always tell myself until I end up grabbing just *one* more. But persimmon and jujube is my maybe possibly finale.... for now 🤣
