What? Another 50ish single woman seeking a life partner/husband? Yup, that's me. I've been a permie most of my life, except when Madonna and I did our respective stints as Material Girls during the 80s. In my mid-30s, I came back to loving The Earth. In my mid-40s, I took my first PDC and started to really learn how (to love The Earth). I am rooted in Rochester, NY until my man-child finishes growing up. Well, er, until he's legally an adult. Then, who knows? For now, I'm a sub/urban permie with a 3 year old food forest garden, a handful of chickens, and a lot of questions about what else I can do to make my life more sustainable. Having a Zone 0 partner would definitely be a step in the right direction and probably only another permie would get my values and what I'm trying to accomplish homesteading-wise. OKCupid is not cutting it and Green Singles has no locals. I don't really have the time and money resources to travel. Any single middle aged male permies living around the corner whom I haven't met? (Experience tells me that I'm most suited for someone who has been married or in a committed LTR and who is a parent.)

Nothing new to report, Thomas. I'll try to remember to take this thread down if Mr. Wonderful shows up with his broadfork and scythe!

Hey Patty how are you, I was kind of locked in time and space for awhile. The universe is your playground, come and play in it. We are not limited by geography, I know a gal who through the selling of one home was able to purchase 8 homes around the world in some most desirable locations, some of which produce income through permaculture. She makes most of her income online with very little daily maintenance. I have my base camp in Canada but in my world you live across the street. Yes Patty as you awake each morning the entire universe awakes with you and says "now what" What will we create today? Partners are easy, expand your thoughts and there one will be.
Namaste
Don
