This is such super advice for pretty much anything, and I wish I had learned it as a kid!
As an adult learning to cook, I had an Indian friend who taught me "Clean Dry Spoon Only" for pickles and sauces. But it is so true for everything- jam, preserves, gochujang, honey, molasses, anything. Clean and dry utensil will keep things for longer.
