Seems like a good convo.
Feels like fermentation was a good cognitive fit for me... just... sorta clicked.
Been reflecting on my learning process, choosing practices or disciplines that feel naturally supportive. Anthropology is one of those, for me. Spent a couple years trying a lot of things in the permaculture world, now i feel like i'm honing in more on which areas are good fits and which I'm just less well-suited for. Tend to be better at smaller-scale detail work than big stuff. So would say no to large-scale agriculture or animal husbandry, but things like fermentation feel very aligned. Carving spoons instead of building houses. Ethnobotany or small herbs. Feel like i'm finding alignment and clear expression in a couple areas.
