I am interested in donating some strawberry plants to a local food forest program But we have bind weed which I want to be sure not to allow to tag along .

I am thinki9ng wash the plant roots and place in a non soil medium for transport

we have
sand Very heavy especially wet
sawdust that has been bagged and is damp

or I could buy a bale of peat moss and some perlite any thoughts ??

I suppose you could take the runners and pin them down into a pot with its own dirt and let them root out.

that would be ideal ,
but the event is the 13th and I would still have to use a soil or sub that was weed free
bind weed is insidious and spreads by seed and runners so I do not trust the soil on site to be seed free,

I FEEL suave and debonair. Why can't you be as supportive as this tiny ad?
