Problems with some venders on line?

I,m some what new to forging so I do not know who or where to contact or order from. I have had problems with a few venders
over the past months. I ordered stinging nettles living roots, a couple of times. One vender in Tenn who advertised selling there
Nettles living roots, with  a 3 day delivery. More like 2 months after me contacting them. When they came in the roots were dead.
12 roots none came up. They were sent in a zip lock bag, dry when I got them. I planted then a inch deep in potting soil kept them
Watered with out over watering. My Question is who can I trust, with reasonable prices. I realize anyone can clam to be a nursery.
I just need your advice on who I can trust. I live in eastern Okla, with no nurseries that deal in wild plants, so I do not know who to
Turn to?

Personally, I like to go local with this when i can.  Maybe even participate in the collection.

That way the plants are adapted to my local conditions.

I usually have a u-pick nettle weekend each spring (if there is any leftovers from my regulars).  It's a by donation event and people can pick any part of the plant they like.

Any local farming exchange like Craigslist or usedanywhere works, so maybe put a want add in and see what comes your way.  Anything that doesn't need a login wall to read as most farmers I know can't be bothered with that (ie fb marketplace)

I go with established players such as Baker Creek or locals that I know. My wife likes to hunt for deals on line.   Probably 90% of her finds on line vanish in a puff of smoke … people not showing up for appointments or the product not remotely being what was described online.
