Hoping you can find some comrades to come and spend time living there and participating in these projects with y'all.

With respect,  could i assist with  suggestions to encourage attendance:  make a date focused on a weekend, as more folks have family time.  Publish a proposed schedule of work tasks, which can be edited later. A few people might  only want to toil with cob, for instance
Please be a bit specific on location, for example " .......about 50 miles south of Charlottesville.............might be good for folks worried about travel time, costs.

With fuel prices hurting the global  economy, folks here in North GA  are living close to the bone.
Yes, enticing volunteers is not easy, but I feel sure you can do it. Anywhere near C'ville must be pretty!   I  imagine you chose a great place to settle, bravo.   A  glorious part of Virginia, of the world. Best of luck on everything in.VA.

My pal Steve McGahee was teaching at Miller School of Albemarle ( near your land)  and living on campus circa 82, a picturesque stone building.  That was our base camp for many wilderness trips.
Do you know Swoope VA?
? In 1985 I  worked Swoope  , a Scout summer camp.     Climbing, hiking aplenty. Knolls and crags, almost on the VA- WV state line. I'm
happy to have camped  a few  enchanted nights under those starry skies.

Good luck with your projects, sir.

I agree. Here's the link: http://stoves2.com
