Seeking Permaculture Farm Manager - Live in with pay

We are a permaculture urban homestead with a focus on medicinal herbs. Must have at least two years of organic farm experience. Experienced in farmers markets and CSA a plus. Your primary job will be maintaining the vegetable and herb gardens, planting starts for the farmers markets, and helping with the chickens and bees. You will be working with and teaching interns. A Permaculture Design Certificate is highly desired but not required.

We have a commercial kitchen and make products available in the local natural food stores. We are located in North Eugene right off the bike path. This is a live in position, and includes rent, utilities, Internet, most meals in addition to a monthly salary. Since we will be sharing meals we prefer someone with a flexitarian diet, who is willing to butcher the occasional chicken.

Choices of housing are a 27 foot self-contained trailer, or a cute tiny house still under construction. The trailer will be available Aug 15, the tiny house sooner or later depending on construction.
We would consider a couple, no pets, no tobacco smoking at all. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, we don't care if you smoke weed if it does not affect your job performance. No heavy drinkers or drama. Must have a valid driver's license, your own insurance or a clean driving record if you don't have a car.

We are looking for someone dedicated and hardworking, positive with good communication skills. Someone passionate about organic farming & permaculture.

Thank you. It is a great situation. We have been using wwoofers, and we are spending so much time making herbal products the gardens are being neglected, and we really want a teacher, and realized we have to pay someone to get someone with the knowledge and experience. It is especially nice because there are some of the benefits of community living with a lot of space and privacy.

I see that this was posted a few years ago but is there a chance you still need someone? This is exactly what I am looking for!

We did have it posted a few years ago, had someone for awhile, but it was a work trade position, we recently decided to include pay so we can find someone who can dedicate full time with experience. We are taking applications now and will be interviewing at the end of the month.

We hired someone, got some great applicants from all over the country, while this position is filled, we will have a room in the main house opening up sometime late fall, if anyone is interested in what we are doing feel free to contact us.
