Hello,

Recently bought some property in south NB, and making first steps in getting it set up with a food forest. Been looking for a source of comfrey roots for a while now. Richter's doesn't seem to carry it (whether right now or just forever), and the only other place I found was quite expensive. Any suggestions would help...

Here are three good resources in the states. I'm not sure about shipping to Canada though.

1. Horizon Herbs - Organic Bocking 14 - 20 root bag for $35 usd
2. Nantahala Farm - Bocking #4, Bocking #14, True/Common, and Wild/Rough Root Cuttings, Seeds
3. Coes Comfrey - He gives you more than you order to help cover shipping costs!

For those who don't know about the great benefits of comfrey, I encourage you to checkout ALL ABOUT COMFREY THE MIRACLE PLANT

Thanks! The second company definitely doesn't ship - I checked them before posting. I was lucky - a Canadian permies member messaged me and has already sent me some plants. Love the community that has been created here

I would love to get some comfrey plants too, I'm in Penticton in the S. Okanagan.
Cheers everyone!

I live in central Nova Scotia and comfrey can be found here, I assume that you may be able to find it in your area maybe even on your property. I ordered seeds and later discovered I had comfrey apenty on banks near a small brook on my farm. If your ever in the Truro area your welcome to some.

Hi Dan,

I am in Colchester county too and pass Truro about once a month. I'd love to stock up on comfrey and after your post here, I checked the brooks and water on my property again, to no avail. I did send a PM.

Thanks,

G
