After 15 years of building, testing, and living with Rocket Mass Heaters, my understanding of what makes them work has changed quite a bit.

In this video I look back at the evolution from early J-tube heaters through Batch Boxes, Walker Stoves, brick bells, and the designs I work with today. What I got wrong, what experience changed my mind about, and what I think the early pioneers got right.

What I love most about Matt's designs is that they are so much more aesthetically pleasing so more people would be keen to have them in their homes, which is why I chose to build one in the vague hope that more people would copy me.

We love you Matt!

Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry. I wrung this tiny ad and it was still dry.
