Scratch looks interesting but requires a computer (,on max or PC) or Chromebook
I assume that's because there is an installation ...
(At the website for scratch, yhere's a free introductory session, then you can pay for tutorials )
If learning without a teacher, it might be a consideration (or too limiting, no idea)
But I will still be going with HTML, and look for some free JavaScript sourcecode to plug in.
With pl/SQL, I used to generate HTML and my own JavaScript to seamlessly change language and all labels in menus and table columns headings, so with a click of language, the page format and data stays the same, only the language text changed (held in JavaScript)
I could make some pages in English and get help with my French, to generate my own pages while helping the kids with theirs ... All I need is a place to save ASCII files
I just learned that around ,2009, browsers started supporting HTML5, and if I understand correctly, PHP is supported for HTM5
I think I will be playing with PHP and see what it can do as a next step
Yes, it's not a marriage -- no doubt python will be next
In fact, for coders, many covert new languages!!
