My name is Josh. I live in Salem/Avilla between LR & Benton.

I am a new enthusiast in building local “rainforests” with like minded people. If you are new to this, like myself, or a veteran with years of experience, I would like to host a “coming together” party of us who see a light in this process.

Together we can put some meaning & substance in the slogan the “Natural State.”

If you, or anyone, is interested in bringing this community in Arkansas together, please text me @501-650-3961 with your name & location & a brief description of your situation and what you bring to the table. Even if you’re a noob like me, the more interested, the more vessels of change we can set into motion.

Look forward to setting this into motion.

I am looking to host a meeting of like minded people to really bring this community together. Together, in a joint effort, of individual efforts, we can strengthen this community to bring REAL CHANGE in the Natural State.

Please text me @ 501-659-3961 if interested in bringing this community together to strengthen and further advance this cause and sustainable way of life.

Definitely peace & love!

I saw a post her from some folks who moved to Wye Mountain and were just starting out--but I just saw that it is 7 years old.   Anybody out there in permie land on Wye Mountain?  WE just bought six acres and want to do forest farming, would love to meet other like minded folks up there.
Thanks ,
Virginia Ralph

Hello everyone!

My wife and I are in North Central Arkansas. We would love to be included In any gatherings. I’m
currently trying to choose where to get a PDC from, there are so many places that offer a course. I’m relatively new to permaculture. I have started a few Hügelkulture beds this last spring and they did
amazing. Wanting to dive in a little deeper. Looking forward to talking to everyone.

Hello on the permaculture post from 2013. So I am writing because I need to start a forest and permaculture. I love in Macon Arkansas. I'm writing and wondering how your forest is and do you have any ideas or pointers that will make others a success like myself? Thanks!

Hi Arkansas Permies, I'm living here temporarily in Russellville, and I haven't had any success locating an in-person PDC Course out here. I could do it online of course, but... I'd prefer a hands-on, in person experience.

I've been an online-lover of permaculture for several years, but haven't done much of anything in the real world. Sick of being a dreamer and ready to DO. If you know any PDC courses around Russellville AR, I'd be grateful for the recommendation. Husband and I are hoping to move to TX within 1-2 hrs of Fort Worth but not sure exactly where or when. I'd be happy to learn of any Permaculture Design Certification courses out there as well.

If there are any permaculture meet ups or events or ANYTHING happening, I would be overjoyed to join, please let me know.

Hey, if there's anyone on this thread who might be able and willing to respond...I would appreciate it! I am from Colorado and moved to Florida for a disastrous year and a half including everything in the house breaking(most major systems and all appliances), my dad dying, and then being hit hard by hurricane Ian.
I then moved from FL to Tennessee to be near my big brother, and buy a farm and start practicing permaculture. My brother very sadly went off the rails with PTSD and I've only seen him 2x in the last year, I broke my leg, and my uncle who I moved here with to farm developed health problems and left after 9 months. I have met more two faced people out here in TN who say "just let us know how we can help" who either don't mean it, want to draw you into longstanding feudal familial battles, or who then want to be paid in s*xual favors. The people here in the small community we're in, for all of their talk of being "good" & friendly, just seem about the furthest from that you can get.
I'd like to get the inside story on the people and permaculture in AR. My daughter and I lived there for a few months in 2019 and loved it! We were in Prairie Grove outside of Fayetteville. Are there some decent communities of folks in permaculture that are helpful and there for each other? We don't just want to take, we would like to contribute and be in community with good folks. Maybe the third time will be the charm? Thanks in advance!

I live in Little Rock and have land in Dennard AR.  I'm looking for permaculture folks in Arkansas.  If I read this right the last post in here was 2 years ago.

Is this group still active? We're from the NE IL suburbs and are planning to move near the Ouachitas.  I've been interested in permaculture for years and I want to learn what plant varieties work best in Arkansas.

Blissings, y'all! We're new to the area (near Blue Ball halfway between Danville i and Waldron n the Ouachita National Forest) and permaculture, inheriting the permaculture farm from the previous stewards. We dream of creating a wellness sanctuary intentional community retreats and wild spirituality center here and would love to connect with anyone in the area. We are starting small with new moon celebrations and open to visitors most anytime. New website in the works, but here's our existing: https://www.connectionprogression.us/resonate-sunshine-wellness-sanctuary

Looking forward to connecting with you!
Nate and Sunshine
