I think it's most accurate to say that the Universe seems to be saying that this might be the right place but not ... quite ... yet.... There is something that has to happen first.

This is frustrating as hell. Maybe She's just indifferent. The main problem is some humans being odious. The rest I can overcome one at a time.

Maybe She's waiting for Ms Right to show up and suggest we pack a van and elope somewhere warm and quiet where we can grow plants and paint and write and work magic together. I have a place we can probably go and plant our own food forest.

Maybe having this at the top of the Recent Topics list means she'll click on the link and think YOU are the ONE!

Maybe.

Ha! Humans being odious! Isn't that the underlying reason for 90% of the problems most of us ever encounter? It's certainly the source of all the planet's woes ...

I would say 90% is an underestimate. Even many "natural" problems can be traced back to human activity.

We can be so much better than this. I want us to stop hurting each other, including nonhumans, and stop trashing the planet. It shouldn't be much to ask.

Here's a more recent photo (spring 2016). I have no idea why it makes me look like my hair has gone grey: it's pretty much the same colour as my beard.

I'm not Tom, by the way. I was borrowing Tom's great home-made grafting knife.

A hard graft.
A hard graft.
