There are only about 3000 of these perfect free range, temperate/cold weather chickens favored by the Vikings when they traveled to Iceland. Interbreeding with modern varieties have made them very rare. We would like to save and establish a source for people who wish to take advantage of all the superior qualities of this breed. I am hoping to do so through crowdfunding on Indiegogo (similar to Kickstarter). http://igg.me/at/foxgreenfarm/x/195853 Indiegogo works similar to a search engine with popular projects being featured more. I know times are not the best economically but if many people contributed even one dollar it would help the project gain popularity and exposure on the Indiegogo site. Please help raise awareness and bring these bird into the mainstream of permaculture planning.
Thanks with all my heart. --Tom
