Greetings! I am posting this for my friend who is wanting to have an experienced RMH designer/builder to come to his house near Hamilton, MT(about 1 hour South of Missoula), and design/build a RMH. Any local-ish innovators from Paul's event would be excellent. If anyone has contact info for someone, it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm up west of Hamilton...but I'm not an expert, and I'm not really in a position to help on a project right now...but they've got my moral support . I will say that they may want to wait until spring to start their build...I was putting silicone on my chimney flashing literally the day before we got our first decent snow of the year... I did most of the design/building/experimenting out in the driveway...at least in my case it would have been pretty much impossible to do it this late in the year. If they have enough workspace it might be possible... And I gotta say, it was really nice being able to build a working mockup outside so I could work all the kinks out before moving it inside. I did all the cutting/grinding/paint stripping/welding/painting/etc outside...in the end I was able to just do the final assembly in the location it's in now.
I do wish them the best of luck though...glad to know I'm not the only one down the Bitterroot doing this stuff .

Who among you feels worthy enough to be my best friend? Test 1 is to read this tiny ad:
