registry of Rocket Mass Heater builders

Not all of us are able to make a rocket mass heater, or have the time or desire to make one, but that doesn't mean we don't want one! I would LOVE to make this thread into a master list of rocket mass heater builders. If you have made a rocket mass heater and might consider building one for someone else, post here with a link to your build! The link can be a thread, a facebook gallery, a website, etc.

I can't guarantee that the below people will be open to making a stove for  you--they are the people who I have seen mentioned here on permies and at inventor events.

USA:

Chris McClellan ("Uncle Mud"), California, has been building RMHs and teaching for some time, all over the US.

It's probably better to PM, I would think? If the interested party wanted to contact a builder, they could PM the builder, asking for information or a contact email.

That way, the builder's information stays safe from random people searching the web for people to spam with emails.

I'm working on mine this week in Northern Lower Michigan. Good to know someone in my state has done them. I'm going to get the J-tube done this week, Mass frame and the exhaust work. Should be an adventure!

Is there anyone in or near Pennsylvania who is skilled in building an RMH? My husband and I will be purchasing a new home in the next year or so, and we'd love to have an RMH, but absolutely don't have the skills to build one ourselves. A masonry heater would be another option.

Sky Huddleston at rocketheater.com in MO builds the UL listed Liberator. It is a metal rocket installed as a code approved wood stove (it works with up to 12' of thermal mass bench and comes with a non-electric pellet feeder). I have one and I've tested it extensively and it does the job. If you tell him Uncle Mud sent you he will give you $100 off.

Zhivko Stefanov of gamera.eu in Bulgaria builds the Gamera rocket heater in 3 sizes. It has a ceramic core and glass viewing and cleanout door and is a fantastic work of art. I'm testing one right now and I love it. It is certified for sale in the EU but not yet in the US as of March 2020 even though it is almost the same process to get it UL listed and EPA approved as it was to get it EU approved. You can get one but with air freight and customs it is not cheap (about $2600 USD). Tell him Uncle Mud sent you and he will expedite the process if you really want to import one. It does work very well with a thermal mass bench or a water jacket or a cooktop.

I live in a really cool Bermed style house built with a culvert, it's a long tunnel, the heat does not circulate, I need help, possibly a large rocket mass heater to heat 1200 Sq ft.

Hey, this is my first post! Has anyone ever seen someone do a maple syrup evaporator powered by an RMH? I'm ambitiously hoping to get one finished before winter in a sugar shack that also has yet to be built. I want to fit it in a 10'x10' shed, but I think going into more details would probably belong in a separate post.

Yes Benton,
The evaporator pan is the most important bit. You need that big surface area to get rid of the water, not a canning pot. You will also need someone willing to stick around and feed the fire unless you go with a batch rocket design.
