there are some fun ideas in this video for creative design with cardboard.... presented by Transfodesign

The Barcelona-based collective Transfodesign believe that anything, even trash, can be given a second life so for the past few years they have challenged creators with a Trash Investigation Series, a type of competition in transformation.

and more furniture design ideas.......

I love these ideas.........I am sure there are other ways to fasten other than the tape used in a project in the first video....any ideas? ...lacing? lock and key/ slots as in the second video?

My uncle made this large chair years ago. It didn't last forever but it was a fun piece.

The packing tape definitely caught my eye as well. Sorta cancels out the entire point of reusing the cardboard.

Isn't there a kind of glue/wallpaper paste that's made from natural materials that could glue the cardboard together? Cornflour and water, or something? Anyone? Bueller?

These days, they have improved paper tape to the point where it holds just as strong as the old plastic stuff.

Sometimes there are filaments in the paper tape, but these compost really well.  I asked the supply store and he said they are celulose based.

I use the non-reinforced paper tape regularly and it has very good adhesion, not sure what the adhesive is but it is water-based: https://www.uline.com/BL_3062/Kraft-Paper-Tape

I think they should change the spelling to Sandy Eggo. This tiny ad agrees with me.
