Micro milk cattle NE OK

What breed of micro cattle would be good for milking. Location is Northeastern Oklahoma, zone 6b-7a, winter low can be in the teens and single digits, very rarely do we hit the single digits. Summer highs can be near 110 at times, with 60-90 day periods of little to no rain during certain years.

I don't have any experience with micro cows. My opinion is that when genetics are selected for as radical a goal as micro size, then other production traits will inherently be sacrificed. Of course, that isn't guaranteed to be the case, but animal breeders can only select for so many traits at once.

I am no help either for a breed Jason but I do wonder why you are choosing micro cows instead of a full size species such as goats? I recognize that micro species are incredibly cute and I have wanted a house hippo since I saw the fake commercial but if you are looking for a small milking animal goats certainly come to my mind before micro cows. Hardy, inexpensive and produce an extremely desirable niche market product.
