Northern Ontario Eco-Village Starting up

I came across this ad on Kijiji a couple weeks ago while looking for land around the North Bay area. There is a group of people looking to start up a community in the area and have been putting in some pretty serious leg work over the past 3 years. They have a nice meet-up group online with lots of discussion happening regarding all aspects of the community. They have been scoping out a really nice piece of land and are getting ready to start making some moves on it. Anyone who is even remotely interested in this type of living should check this out. The buy in price is super reasonable with a sizable lot for you to build on. The land is also in unorganized township, so you can build something cool without the inspector hassling you. I messaged the guy and joined the group right away.

Sorry for the super late reply, lots going on off grid for me.

I am still part of the group and we are looking to pull the trigger at the end of this month on 575 acres of land in an unorganized township in central Ontario.

I encourage anyone who is even remotely interested in joining a community of like minded folks purchasing a large piece of land.

The price is set at $5000 per half acre unit per person with a max of 3 units per person. So a couple could have up to 6 units or 3 acres.

Things are happening fast in the month. Another group from Toronto area has recently merged with this group and a lawyer has come on board for a number of units and to do the legal work.

Skype meetings are held each Sunday evening and face to face meets as much as possible.

This is a great chance to part of something awesome, but things are really moving fast here and the price will certainly go up for future members to buy in after purchase.

That Is awesome people are trying to start up something of this nature in that area. I am a bit further north (about 18-20hour drive) but have been looking for property just out from town limits to do something similar.. Best of luck to you guys!!!
