I am looking for 50 to 100 acres close from Kingston. The Realtor website (mls.ca) has been a real let down so far: not much on there that fits our criteria.

I am looking for something that is within a 20 km range of the city, that is not crossed by a pipeline, a railroad, or the 401. I want something that is not a bare piece of Canadian shield (or limestone) and that has some sort of established woodlot. We have a preference for something on the east side of town, just because we have many friends living in that area.

I am going to start talking to farmers, but meanwhile, I figured I could ask here.

Anybody knows someone wanting to sell?

Hi Adrien,

I have also been looking for land and have found this very helpful.

http://www.giscoeapp.lrc.gov.on.ca/web/OMAFRA/EMB/AIA/Viewer/viewer.html

Ontario AgMaps.

Not sure if you have used it before, but its an excellent resource for finding out all sorts of information including soils, topographical, Farm tax rated parcels etc.

Good Luck!

Thanks! I had looked at this website before but kind of forgot about it.
