What if there is a kickstarter put on by an ant (or deep roots person)?
Let's suppose there is an ant named Bob. And Bob says the he wants to create a kickstarter to build a freezer wofati. Bob will build it (or hire out to build it), video it and offer videos. A possible reward could be to get a personal tour of the final product (and other stuff here). Maybe there could be a private forum here on permies where people could see lots of updates, but Bob does post some updates to the general permies.
When the project is done, Bob could post the video out at scubbly and have a residual income stream.
There are probably 50 projects like this.
And, most importantly, I play almost no part in it. It does not require me to put oodles of time into it to make it go. There could be a several big projects every year.
In the last few months our peeps shelled out about $10,000 to permaculture chickens, $10,000 to the permaculture book for kids and $80,000 to rocket mass heaters. What if we had three or four different people here at the lab running similar kickstarters. For $20,000 they could build a freezer wofati and put out a video about the experience. They would also then have an on-the-land income stream.
