Finney Farm is seeking one or two interns to work and learn with us through the end of the season in November. We are located in a beautiful area, in the foothills of the North Cascade Mountains with amazing hiking/camping/exploring opportunities. We're also a 40 minute drive from Mount Vernon, which is about about 70 miles from Seattle or Vancouver BC.

A great deal of information about our farm may be found on our website www.finneyfarm.org We are experienced hosts and offer a great educational experience for our WWOOFers and interns. We have hosted hundreds of people in the past 15 years (our farm began in 1989) and have formed lasting friendships with many or most (three of our current residents are former interns/WWOOFers!). We thought we were set for the season...but one of our interns has been offered local employment and is moving to renter status, and the other is expecting a baby in early winter and won't be able to complete the season as planned. Wonderful news for both...but leaves us a bit short handed. We would LOVE to find someone to begin this month if at all possible, but May would also be a good start time.

We offer good food and lodging (a variety of options), and education in exchange for 30 hours of labor each week. We have about 2 acres in annual food production, a half acre forest garden, an acre of 95 year old blueberry bushes, and another acre in perennials or orchard including a large medicinal herb garden. We have lots going on including a few music festivals this summer, but one of our neatest endeavors is our seed distro project. We grow, package, and distribute seed to schools, food banks, and low income households at no charge--we will meet our goal of 7000 packages this year, and may reach 10,000!

Please contact us for more information at info@finneyfarm.org

Thank you!
Jennie Goforth
