I am aware that some people are getting an error. It is related to the number of people trying to access the file at once. Aweber limits the number of request to 60 per minute. We are trying to optimize the code to minimize the number of requests per user. However, if you just try a tiny bit later, it should work fine.

Cassie,

Does the email system allow you to throttle your send? Most email sending services allow to to specify how many emails are sent per hour. It helps with both deliverability and load issues with the website. When I send large email blasts at work, we often throttle sends over several hours to make life easier for everyone.

Hope that helps!

Hey Lazlo,

That's a really good point. I have heard of other big email lists doing something like that. I will look into it when we do our freebie dealios. Also, I think Adrien is tinkering with the code so that this doesn't happen next time too.

I've tried about 6 times over yesterday and today, in three different browsers (Opera, Firefox and Chrome), and each time it just loads a page that says, "No data received
Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data." I've tried right-clicking and selecting "save as," but there's really no such option. It intereacts with the files as if they were websites, only giving me the option to "Save linked content as..." When I click that, nothing happens.

For reference, I didn't have any problem downloading the Permaculture Magazine....

I have downloaded 2 out of 2 times. The first was the one optimized for old systems, and the other was the original file. They both appear the same when opened, and are 2 pages. The ad for this freebie shows pictures of plants not shown in the actual file. Is there a larger version available somewhere else that has those plants in it?

Nope, it is just the two pages. glad you downloaded them fine!

My first bit of advice is that if you are going to be a mime, you shouldn't talk. Even the tiny ad is nodding:
