Howdy, all!

As much as I adore my sweet home, it's time to broaden our options and sell our darling. I've spent the last 5 years developing this lovely property in South Seattle, recapturing her quixotic nature - now it could be YOUR turn to enjoy her tender embrace. There are photos on my website http://alwaysgrowingdesign.weebly.com/seattle-home-for-sale.html under the "Seattle Home for Sale" page. Here are the highlights:

3 bedroom, 1.75 bath, built (probably by a shipwright) in 1920, all wood on the first floor (probably old-growth Doug Fir), vintage fixtures and finishes intact. No re-muddling here! Daylight basement was probably completed in the 60's and has 2+ bedrooms and great new bathroom, for a total of 1540 sq ft per county records. Root cellar, cold storage room, chicken coop and run, pond, hugelkulture and keyhole beds, masses of berries and herbs of all kinds. Lower floor has separate entrance and has been used to generate rental income for the last 2 years. New metal roof in 2009, with plans for cistern water capture. 2, count 'em, 2 herb spirals! Cherry, apple, plum trees. 3 blocks to busses that will take you non-stop into Downtown Seattle or Renton. Did I mention hot tub? Did I mention long driveway for storing RV/boat/whatever? Did I mention it's tucked back away from the street? Security system? HUGE shade trees? What else can I tell you?

We are hoping to sell this FSBO to lower expenses. We are offering it for the first week to permies.com, LinkedIn sustainability groups, Seattle Farm Co-op members and my Facebook friends & local neighbors ONLY. NO agents, please, till after 7/5/15. Asking $244,600. Seriously, folks, if you're looking for a house in Seattle it doesn't get much better than this. Contact me via the website if you have any questions - we'll be hosting an open house this Sunday, 6/28, 2-4pm for locals. Come on by!
