We haven't long since finished the awesome PDC at Paul's Place. The whole experience was great. I wanted to start this thread to just post a few pics and stories from our 6000 mile journey too and from as well as some of the Pics from the PDC. A few people have ask us to start a thread about our property and projects and its in the works but for now ill use my limited interweb access to post a few pics.

My Signature for the last few years was "just spinning wheels," but after our PDC at Pauls Place this summer I feel like we are finally catching traction. Hope to be threading some more. got a roof on our house, swales dug, and finally starting to work on our plan in more details.

So in some random fly over state we ran into a gnarrly hail storm. It was on top of a mountain right outside an indian reservation. People were freaking out on this narrow road. I kept driving through the storm even though i wanted to stop. Im glad we didnt i stoped at a rest area on the other side of the storm to smoke like 3 cigs. Everyone that stoped had there vehicles ruined by the golf ball sized hail I wish we would of got better pics.

SO comin down pauls road (without disclosing location) I knew it was his place from the road. I was told it would be really hard to find the drive. as soon as I pulled up I looked at Nikki and said "look at those big ass berms it must be Pauls"

What a great album. You guys had a hell of a trip to get out here. I like the jackalope pic the best. We miss you out here... or rather we'really missin' y'all and your smooth accents.

We had lots of pooper pics mainly cause Nikki thought it was the coolest. The pic with the two toilets is not to poop with a friend but one had a urine diverter and one did not.

Showering at base camp was an experience. The first few days we were at base camp the compost pile was in the process of getting warm, but by the end of the PDC the water was quite nice with a quick recharge of the system. If it wasn't for water shortages I bet I could of took a 20 min shower by the end of the two weeks. Oh and my new favorite biker put a ball valve to modify the over pressured shower to help conserve water but the adjusted it a bit low so if anyone washed there hands while you showered you would lose most the pressure in the shower. But that's the point of these systems to work with them and find the kinks. I really miss those outside awesome showers If you cant tell. They always smelled like lavender because of the Dr. Woods soap great stuff it smelled so good I couldn't go pooless. Sorry no pics of the inside but trust me it was well built and really nice.

THe next stream of pics is from Paul's guided tour of base camp, and the lab. So keep you hands and feet inside the vehicle for the duration of the ride as we go exploring. oh these first pics are of the bee hut and the back of Nikki's head.

SO these pics go into one of my favorite parts of the trip "getting to see the wofatis in real life." Not sure what one is, check out this article webpage . one of the reasons I ran across permaculture and permies.com was my goggling about Oehler stuff after my brother-in-law gave me a copy of the 50 dollar an up underground hose book. I ran across pauls videos "bad video is better than no video" days. I read the wofiti article when it first came out and just dreamed about having my own one day. anyways heres some of the pics of 0.7 and 0.8. so I may confuse .7 and .8 a bit in these pics to follow sorry.

Nice pics, making me wish I could take another month off and go to the lab again. Maybe next year.

So I have tons more pics from the PDC, but I have been hiding in the woods to much to post anything. Im finally back on a computer so Ill post a few more over the next few weeks hopefully. I'm super missing Montana, Everyone from the Lab and the PDC the best part of our summer experience was how encouraging it was to be around like minded people.
